There is a lot of talk going on about what the difference is between MP4 players and MP3 players. They do a lot of the same things, but there are a few things that are much different about them. First of all, if all you want to do is listen to music then you are better off getting a MP3 player. However, if you want more out of your little portable player then you may want to upgrade to a MP4 player. These little things can do it all and have more room on them than most MP3 players. However, with greatness comes a price that some are not going to be willing to pay.

If you are thinking about getting a MP3 player or an Mp4 player for a gift then you should know a little bit more about them. First of all, if you are getting it to listen to music then you might as well get the MP3 player. This is because, this is where the MP3 player really shines. Most MP3 players do not have a very big screen which is just fine because most of the time you are not looking at them anyway. The MP3 players may have less room on them than the MP4 players, but that is fine.

Thin MP3/MP4 Player

MP4 players play movies and shows, and they need more room. The MP3 players are just playing music which is a lot smaller. As you can see this is the first big difference between them. However, you have to keep in mind that the battery life on the MP3 player is a lot better as well. This has to do with the fact that the MP4 player has a bigger screen.

Now if you want to do more than just listen to music then you cannot go wrong with the MP4 player. Not only are you going to be able to listen to music on it, but you are able to watch shows and movies as well. Also, the screen on the MP4 player is bigger so you have a bigger area to enjoy your movies on. Because the MP4 players play movies, they also have more room on them. In fact, I have seen MP4 players that can hold up to 80 Gigs of information. That is great because movies can be up to 1 to 2 Gigs big. As you can see, this allows you to take a lot of movies with you wherever you go. I must point out the one big flaw in the MP4 player, and that is the price. Because it has so much more room and a bigger screen, you can guess that the price is a lot more than a MP3 player. In fact, I have seen people get MP3 players for under $40, however, you will not find a MP4 player at that price.

Which one you want is up to you. First, you will have to look at what you want to use it for and how much you are willing to spend. However, when all is said and done for me there is nothing better than the MP4 player. I am living in the new era where I am wanting more use out of my stuff. I do not just want to listen to music when I am on the go I want to be able to listen to or watch whatever I want to. Of course, that is not a big deal to some people, and you are going to have to see what is right for you.
